Isoclima Specialty Glass develops protective glazing for law enforcement vehicles, including patrol cars, SUVs, K9 units, tactical vehicles and command fleets.

Its vehicle armor uses layered glass and polycarbonate to provide ballistic resistance while supporting clear visibility. The appropriate system is selected around the vehicle, the areas being protected and the required threat rating.

Ballistic resistance

Engineered to resist projectile penetration under the conditions of the selected ballistic test rating. Isoclima also offers law enforcement glazing designed to resist forced-entry attempts.

Optical clarity helps support situational awareness. Spall-protection features help limit fragments on the protected side following an impact.

SPECIFICATIONS & QUALIFICATIONS

Protection at a glance.

Published protection level: Isoclima lists NIJ Level IIIA and higher options for law-enforcement vehicles. The exact rating depends on the selected glass.
Ballistic test standard: NIJ 0108.01 is the protective-materials standard used for the Level IIIA test profile below.
9mm test round: 124-grain full metal jacket (FMJ), at 1,400 ± 50 ft/s under NIJ 0108.01 Level IIIA.
.44 Magnum test round: 240-grain lead semi-wadcutter with gas check, at 1,400 ± 50 ft/s under NIJ 0108.01 Level IIIA.
Multi-hit test requirement: The Level IIIA standard specifies five fair hits for each test ammunition type, with no permitted penetrations under the prescribed test conditions.
Vehicle-glass features: Isoclima describes optical clarity, anti-spall technology and UV resistance for its law-enforcement glazing.
Application: Vehicle-specific fitment for patrol vehicles and specialized fleets; confirm window coverage, thickness, weight and window operation with RRTVS.

The ammunition bullets summarize the NIJ standard, not a test certificate for every Isoclima window. RRTVS will confirm the selected glass’s rating and test documentation. Level IIIA is a handgun rating; rifle or armor-piercing protection requires a separately verified configuration.
